response-sv’s pre-engineered ‘modular’ specification option system makes it possible for us to produce ‘continuous’ parts, for which it is feasible to use modern materials and apply more intricate precise designs, to give you a finished product that is fresh and innovative, in a market presently populated by outdated, labour intensive, and heavy-weight joinery parts and crude metal fabrications.

Following creative concepting, our design engineers detail design our piece parts and assemblies using three-dimensional ‘solid model’ computer aided-design software, with integrated BOM generation, weight calculation and finite element analysis functions. Our designer’s skills combined with the capability of their software, enable us to fully visualize, inspect and check fit of parts to tight tolerances, virtually on-screen, before sending the finished designs to either our rapid-prototyping CNC machine for tooling, or to our highly-advanced laser cutting and CNC folding machinery. The benefit for our customers is that our vehicles feature more advanced parts yet with reduced lead times.

Part ‘tools’ that would normally take highly-skilled craftsman many hours of hands-on development, can be produced by our CNC 5 axis milling machine in a matter of minutes, and to perfect form and symmetry. The tools produced are then used to produce the smoothly finished moulded parts that you can see inside our vehicles.

Our laser cutting machinery enables us to cut extremely intricate forms to fractions of millimeter-tolerances, using files generated straight from our finished CAD models. The ability to laser cut and perform FEA calculations enables our designers to utilise 'aerospace' practices to reduce weight by analysing redundant material and adding 'flange lightening holes' to the designs.  In some instances this can reduce weight by 75% without any decrease in functional strength.  Partnered with our computer-controlled folding equipment, our metallic component parts may be formed to fit precisely to our base vehicles and within our sub assemblies, yielding optimum functionality and vehicle strengthening with reduced weight, lead time and cost.
