When designing and developing our products at response-sv we are conscious that we do not want to produce “clones” of the coach-built style vehicles currently available in the UK.  Rather, we want to create products with a genuine automotive product feel.

As well as designing our in house engineered piece parts and assemblies using modern materials and production techniques, we have carried out exhaustive searches of the sub-component parts & services marketplaces, and found the most advanced materials and newest, most functional devices available.medimax-ambulance-fiat-interior

We understand the value of forming strong relationships with our suppliers in order to obtain the latest products, with reliable, short lead time delivery channels, and at prices that yield savings that we can pass on to our customers.

The result is that you will see our vehicles feature many parts and devices not previously seen onboard ambulance products.  Examples as follows:

In partnership with Lateral Design Concepts, we offer our customers the best in vehicle lowering and access ramp equipment.  Highlights include ‘Wedge’ ramps with integrated motors, for rapid and simple exchange in the unlikely event that a unit should fail, and ‘Hydra-Kneel’ lowering suspension systems, which hydraulically lower our vehicles for redu

ced entry angle.   The major benefit of the hydraulic system over common air suspension systems is that the ‘failure state’ returns vehicles to their normal drive condition, as opposed to air systems, which render vehicles unsafe to drive, should they fail.

Our ‘diverse workforce’ lockers, as well as having a unique operation to improve access, feature genuine automotive ‘anti-burst’ push-to-close latch fittings.

Anti-burst push-to-close functionality is actually a safety pre-requisite of CEN, and we at response-sv are the first in the UK to actually meet this requirement.

Research into composite materials has yielded supply of a high grade, lightweight, wipe-clean product from which we form our interior lining sets.

Our floors may be specified with a polyurethane resin spray covering, applied through a wide radius at the floor-wall interface to remove dirt traps and improve cleaning and aesthetic properties.

A lot of consideration has been given to interior and exterior lighting.  All exterior emergency warning and additional stop / tail / indicator lighting utilise the latest LED technology.  Our interiors are illuminated entirely using LED devices with integrated ‘nightlight / trauma’ functionality also available.   LED lighting greatly reduces demands on vehicle power (helping to reduce on-board power storage, and therefore weight), and dramatically reduces maintenance costs associated with fluorescent tube lights.
